Why Fran's Smatterings

In case you are wondering how I came up with my name for this blog, let me tell you. I thought of the name "Franswah" but Lyle didn't think that was so good and he suggested I call it Fran's Smatterings. Several years ago I published a book called "Smatterings." I agreed with his suggestion, as you can see.

Necklaces I make that you could own!

This past summer I made a necklace to show off my grandbabies. Then I made them for my daughters. They wanted to give a necklace to their friends. It is a growing "business." If you want to order one, please let me know. Email me at fhuisken@cfl.rr.com for details.

You know how difficult it is to photograph your own grandbabies, right? Well, I do anyway. I decided to take a favorite of each child and make it into one photo of my princes and princess--Children of the King. I am making a book of my Children of the King--giving my grands a crown and then putting a Bible verse about being a Child of the King. It is a lot of fun for me but I have been too busy to get very far on it lately, but I will.

This is a new adventure for me. Sometimes I think I am too old for this new stuff and then sometime I think I was born too early. Anyway, I will give it my best shot and hopefully you will enjoy looking in on me now and then.
