In case you are wondering how I came up with my name for this blog, let me tell you. I thought of the name "Franswah" but Lyle didn't think that was so good and he suggested I call it Fran's Smatterings. Several years ago I published a book called "Smatterings." I agreed with his suggestion, as you can see.
